Propulsion System

JDM surface drives, compared to other types of propulsion such as stern drives, shaft lines, and water jets, have great and diverse advantages: increase in maximum and cruising speed with the same installed engine power, reduction in fuel consumption, low maintenance costs, and finally construction materials that are much more robust and resistant in water than those of competitors.
The quality of the materials used, AISI 316 and 630 steel, means that the JDM propulsions can withstand the twists resulting from the movement of the axis and the propeller, guaranteeing maximum reliability and stability. This is why JDM is among the main suppliers of propellers and propulsion on racing boats, where the high torque rates of the engines and the prerogative of exploiting every available horsepower put every single part of the transmission to the test.
Propellers & Rudders

The material used for construction is AISI 630 STAINLESS STEEL enriched with a significant quantity of carbon. The peculiarity of this material is that it makes the propeller very rigid and immune to vibrations. Our technicians can design and build propellers with 4, 5 or 6 blades, with any type of pitch, and with diameters ranging from 17 to 30 inches.
